About Me…

Hey y’all, thank you so much for stopping by, I am so glad you’re here! My name is Lauryn and I’m a wife, a believer, a quilter, and a twin momma to two of the sweetest little miracles you ever did see! I’ve been with my husband Cory since 2004, and my goodness, the journeys God has taken us on would blow your mind. We became parents after 10 years.. 10!.. of infertility, to identical twin girls named Vayda & Viviyn… talk about immeasurably more than all we could’ve ever asked or imagined! ❤ ❤

My family and I live in North Myrtle Beach, SC, where the beaches are wide, the accents are thick, and the sweet tea is ice cold. [Y’all should totally come visit!] I have an amazing sewing studio right in my home, thanks to my super handy [& handsome] hubby, and that’s where all the magic happens. I could write a book about the steps I’ve taken to get to where I am today, but I’ll take the short cut here and just tell you what I tell anyone who asks what I do… I’m in the business of making memories huggable!

Creating these custom memory quilts using the technique and design that I created has been my full time gig since 2011, and I have loved every stitch of it. I’ve worked with 100’s of clients from all over the world and I feel so honored that people trust me to work with some of their most cherished items of clothing. I make T-shirt Quilts & Memorial Quilts, but what I’m most known for are First Year Quilts.

I’ve always known what I did was special because of the reaction I’d get from moms when they first saw their sweet memories all tied together in one quilt, but I never fully understood it until I had my own babies. Memories made us who we are, and some memories remind us of who we used to be. Memories make up so much of a person; they’re the tracks our lives leave as we follow our destined path, they’re keys to the past & lessons for the future.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know all about the famous “waiting list” that’s been backed up for years, and that it grew to a whole new level in 2016 when our twins were born. I absolutely love my job and I want to be doing this for a long time, but after a lot of praying and brainstorming, I’ve come up with an alternative method to getting your quilt made and I’m SO excited to share it with y’all!

I look back on where I’ve been and what got me here, the failures & the triumphs, and all I see is how God was always there leading me to the next right step. I am so grateful for the work that I do, the families I work for, and for the memories I get to piece together. It humbles me to my core to know that these quilts will be around long after I’m gone, still telling stories. ❤

xo, Lauryn

Bless you for your service…My cousins and their families live near Gulfpost, Mosspoint, and Pascagoula… While their damage was minimal, they pitched in to help their neighbors. Those folks really needed your helping hands…

Reading your story here makes me think of something I love to read in a book called “The Big Book” it says on page 68, “We never apologize to anyone for depending upon our Creator. We laugh at those who think spirituality the way of weakness. Paradoxically, it is the way of strength. The verdict of the ages is that faith means courage. All men (and women) of faith have courage. They trust their G-d. We never apologize for G-d. Instead, we let Him demonstrate, through us, what He can do. We ask Him to remove our fear and direct our attention to what He would have us be. At once, we commence to outgrow fear. “
